With my birthday officially over, I wanted to give you a rundown of the day.
For some reason, I could not sleep last night. It wasn't that I was excited for my birthday, because I wasn't doing anything special, per se, but I just had a hard time falling asleep. So, finally around 5:30 a.m. I was able to get some shut eye. I woke up around 1 p.m. (rough!) and got ready for lunch. I treated myself to TGI Fridays and dined alone. I was able to text a friend throughout the time so I did have a dining companion, if you think of it. From there, it was time for shopping.
I headed to a nearby city where there was a bigger Michaels and some other crafty stores. I have NO idea why I haven't gone to this Michael's before. It's about 20 minutes away, as the other one is about 15 minutes away. It is twice the size of the Michael's I usually go to and has MUCH nicer employees. Guess I will be going to this new one more often. Anyway, I bought out the whole store. Well, not really, but I wanted to!
Next it was on to AC Moore and Hobby Lobby. I had more luck in Hobby Lobby than I did in AC Moore, since I didn't purchase anything from there. Hobby Lobby had some great deals that I couldn't pass up so those went in the basket, then my car, then my apartment. Haha.
When I got home, I spoke with a friend on the phone for a couple hours, called my sister and spoke to her, my brother in law and my nephews, then recorded the video below. After that was recorded, I ordered dinner from one of my new favorite restaurants and picked it up. When I got home I realized they made it wrong and was unable to eat it so that was not the best, but all is well. :)
I also got a chance to make my grandma a card which will be coming in a post tomorrow. For now, enjoy my shopping haul. Oh, and I did give a shout out to Melody Lane in the video, a couple of times.
Enjoy the hauls!! Honestly, there is still more to come, but then that's it, for a month. Hahaha!
Craft on,
Ian
Thanks so much for the shout outs! Reading your post above I was thinking wouldn't it be fun to get locked in a Micheals or Hobby Lobby all night and just play with everything and video record it. lol It's late I think I need to go to bed.
ReplyDeleteThat would be awesome, Melody! Hahaha. Or if we owned a craft store we could let our friends in at night and have a shopping spree. I have always wanted to do something that was timed. LIke you have 5 minutes to run around and get as much as you can in your cart for free. GO! That would be awesome!
Deletewell first of all I want to say Happy Birthday!!! Second do you have facebook? I would love to chat with you sometime about crafting! My name on facebook is Mandy Hennis.

DeleteGreat Birthday Haul - wow that cutting mat is fab. I'm sure if we all had lived closer we could have all met you at TGIs. I haven't been there for years.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy crafting with your new bits and pieces.
Thanks, Karon!! I am absolutely in LOVE with my cutting mat. I hate to fold it up when I need to make dinner, but that's life. haha. That would have been fun to all go to lunch together! :)
