Hi there!
If you remember from the Mother's Day Blog Hop, I repurposed a Pilot Log Book for my mother and accidentally called it a Pirate Log Book. Everyone that watched the video got a kick out of it and so did my mom when I told her on the phone, so I thought I would do a pirate themed birthday card for her. Her birthday is actually the day before mine so this card is a little belated, but better late than never, right? :)
So, I made a quick video (less than 13 minutes) for you to watch to see how it all came together. I used a Close To My Heart stamp set (Just A Number - D1514) and some Recollections paper from Michaels. Give it a watch if you have less than 15 minutes to spare.
Ever since I purchased my video camera, I have gone away from my roots and stopped posting pictures. I do apologize about this and will actively work on showcasing you what the card looks like as well as the video. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of this card, but I will take a couple pictures of the cards I post soon. Promise. Pinky swear. Cross my heart and stick a needle in my eye, or whatever the saying is. Just bare with me as I get back to my roots. In fact I may be doing only photos coming up. More info on that to come.
Here's the link to the video: Pirate Birthday Card. I really like how it turned out. If I could have three wishes, the first would be for blogger to find my videos on YouTube right away instead of having to post a link instead. As for the other two wishes, those will come. Patience is a virtue. I'm a little punchy tonite as I'm lacking sleep. I'll be better in the morning. Promise.
If you are interested in ordering Close To My Heart products, please visit iandreger.ctmh.com/retail to order stamps, acrylix blocks, embellishments, paper, organizational tools, ink pads, markers, etc. As a reminder - the CTMH markers are being discontinued, so if you are interested in purchasing them, now is your chance. Let me know if you have any questions - I am happy to help!
As for what's in store for you in the future... I have a birthday card for my niece who's turning 5 on June 10, an anniversary card for my mom and dad on June 16, and a Father's Day card for my dad. I should really look through the family calendar, and see who else has something fun coming up. Big ups to my sister Claire for giving us a family calendar every Christmas. Without it, I would honestly forget when everyone's birthday/anniversary is. Anyway, enough of me rambling. Stay tuned for more! :)
Craft on,
Ian
